Framework for IRC clients

What is it?

Ruby-IRC is a simple framework for creating clients for IRC. It will monitor multiple IO sockets for data. Allows user defined handlers for IRC events.

A simple usage example

bot = IRC.new("Nickname", "server.example.com", "6667", "Realname")
IRCEvent.add_callback('endofmotd') { |event| bot.add_channel('#eris') }
IRCEvent.add_callback('join') { |event|
    bot.send_message(event.channel, "Hello #{event.from}")
}
bot.connect
