Happydatepicker

A simple but ready-made datepicker for rails. Basically a wrapper around this js datepicker: http://www.eyecon.ro/datepicker

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'happydatepicker'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install happydatepicker

Usage

in application.js you need:

//=require datepicker
//=require happydatepicker

in application.css you need to include

*=require datepicker.css

Requiring the happydatepicker in application.js is completely optional but if you do you can instantiate a datepicker within your coffeescript file as simply as:

new HappyDatePicker($("#your_element"))

Otherwise you can use the default js syntax for doing everything as explained here: http://www.eyecon.ro/datepicker
