Sekisyo
Sekisyo is rack middleware for input validation.
By writing a parameter whitelist in YAML files, requests that do not comply with it are rejected and returns status 400(Bad request).
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'sekisyo'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install sekisyo
Usage
Use rack middleware in your application.
middleware.use Sekisyo::Middleware
And write whitelist in YAML files.

Configuration
file_paths

The path to the yaml file is sekisyo.yml
by default, but you can specify a custom path.

undefined_request
Can specify the behavior when a request is sent to a path that is not defined in the whitelist.

logger
Can specify the log class.
Sekisyo::Middleware.configure do |config|
config.logger = Logger.new($stdout)
end
allow_keys
Can specifies the top-level key of the parameter to be exempt from validation.

config.allow_keys = ['utf8', 'authenticity_token']
end
Whitelist
Path can be specified as a dynamic URL. The path parameter can be enclosed in {}

Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
