UuidHelper
The idea is to provide some helper methods like:
''.to_uuid
nil.to_uuid

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'uuid_helper'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install uuid_helper
