Pinterest API for Ruby

This is the first step to build a gem to communicate with the pinterest API.

Installation

Add to your Gemfile:

gem 'pinterest_api'

Then bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install pinterest_api

Usage

Frst of all create a PinterestApi::Client with a access_token provided by pinterest. The you can start getting the info.

You must have the uid before. This element is provided during the oauth flow.

# Building the client for this spsecific user
client = PinterestApi::Client.new(access_token)

# Get the user information
# More info (https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/api/users/)
user_info = client.me

# Get the user boards
# More info (https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/api/users/)
boards = client.boards

# Create a pin
# More info (https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/api/pins/)
params = {
  board,

  image,

}
client.create_pin(params)

Contributing
