Psc::Opentsdb
Very early gem for interacting with OpenTSDB API
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'psc-opentsdb'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install psc-opentsdb
Usage
Create server object server = OpenTSDB::Server(hostname,port)
Get list of metrics (limited to 1000) server.suggest('metrics')
Specify search string or different limit server.suggest('metrics','sys',25)
Get list of tagv server.suggest('tagv')
Get list of tagk server.suggest('tagk')
Add metric server.create_metric('metric_name')
Tag class newtag = Tag.new(tagname,tagvalue)
DataPoint class data_point = DataPoint.new(metric,timestamp DateTime,value,tags[])
Put data server.put(data_points[])
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake false
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
