TipRanksForecast

TipRanksForecast queries TipRanks for a stock's price target and Wall Street analyst consensus. This is only intended for personal/hobby use, as it is probably not a long-term stable solution. It is not advised to use this in a production or critical system.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'tip_ranks_forecast'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install tip_ranks_forecast

Usage

NOTE: all prices are in cents

symbol = 'TSLA'
tipranks = TipRanksForecast::Stock.new(symbol)
tipranks.price_target
 => 74135
tipranks.low_forecast
 => 16000
tipranks.high_forecast
 => 120000
tipranks.num_analysts
 => 21
tipranks.buy_ratings
 => 10
tipranks.hold_ratings
 => 7
tipranks.sell_ratings
 => 4

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
