Instance Method Details

#each(&block) ⇒ Enumerator

Iterate over the events of a recurrence. Along with the Enumerable module, this makes Montrose occurrences enumerable like other Ruby collections

Examples:

Iterate over a finite recurrence

recurrence = Montrose.recurrence(every: :day, until: 1.year.from_now)
recurrence.each do |event|
  puts event
end

Iterate over an infinite recurrence

recurrence = Montrose.recurrence(every: :day)
recurrence.lazy.each do |event|
  puts event
end

Returns:

  • (Enumerator)

    an enumerator of recurrence timestamps

Since:

  • 0.0.1

297
298
299
# File 'lib/montrose/recurrence.rb', line 297

def each(&block)
  events.each(&block)
end

#earlier?(timestamp) ⇒ Boolean

Return true/false if given timestamp occurs before the recurrence

Returns:

  • (Boolean)

    whether or not timestamp is earlier

Since:

  • 0.0.1

351
352
353
# File 'lib/montrose/recurrence.rb', line 351

def earlier?(timestamp)
  starts_at && timestamp < starts_at
end

#eventsEnumerator

Returns an enumerator for iterating over timestamps in the recurrence

Examples:

Return the events

recurrence = Montrose.recurrence(every: :day)
recurrence.events

Iterate over a finite recurrence

recurrence = Montrose.recurrence(every: :day, until: 1.year.from_now)
recurrence.events.each do |event|
  puts event
end

Iterate over an infinite recurrence

recurrence = Montrose.recurrence(every: :day)
recurrence.events.lazy.each do |event|
  puts event
end

Returns:

  • (Enumerator)

    an enumerator of recurrence timestamps

Since:

  • 0.0.1
