Overview

The MarkerMapLocation class provides an interface to the marker_map_location table. This table contains mappings of MarkerSynonym objects to a chromosome, and basically just stores the genetic maps.

This class uses ActiveRecord to access data in the Ensembl database. See the general documentation of the Ensembl module for more information on what this means and what methods are available.

Examples:

marker_synonym = MarkerSynonym.find_by_name('CYP19A1_(5)')
marker_synonym.marker_map_locations.each do |mapping|
puts mapping.chromosome_name + "\t" + mapping.position.to_s
end
