Defined in:

Overview

This cop identifies unnecessary use of a regex where ‘String#start_with?` would suffice.

Examples:

# bad
'abc'.match?(/\Aab/)
'abc' =~ /\Aab/
'abc'.match(/\Aab/)

# good
'abc'.start_with?('ab')
